課程概述

Recent technological advances have enabled the deployment of low-cost, low-power, and multifunctional sensor devices. These devices are autonomous sensor nodes with integrated sensing, processing, and wireless communication capabilities, and then can form the wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This source consists of 15 issues related to WSNs reseach area. Detailed descriptions for various scenarios where WSNs may be applied, and various application-layer tools for enabling such applications will be introduced in the course. The presented applications of WSNs include habit monitoring, biomedical sensor engineering, monitoring environments, water and waste management, and military applications. Also, this course will introduce the required technical issues associated with specific sensor devices, power management, signal processing and computation, operation system, topology construction, broadcasting, data aggregation, etc.

11. Energy-efficient backbone construction, broadcasting, and area covering in sensor networks
12. Geographic and energy-aware routing in sensor networks
13. Data-centric protocols for wireless sensor networks
14. Path exposure, target location, classification, and tracking in sensor networks
15. Data gathering and fusion in sensor networks
 
課程要求
成績計算:1. 作業:20%, 2. 考試與期末專題設計報告:80%
考試方式:Closed Book
期末報告:每兩人一組,以Tmote sky (Sensor Node)完成專題設計
